PrimRose Home Help provided at-home care for our mother with dementia for nearly three years, initially on a daily basis moving to three-times a day as her condition worsened. Without fail, the carers were prompt and professional, but most of all really kind, caring and supportive. They always looked for ways to enrich mum’s life, through outside trips and visits, ensured she was well fed and safe in the home. The carers documented mum’s care on a daily basis, and provided practical and helpful suggestions as to how we could better support her. All were totally trustworthy and we had every confidence in them being in mum’s home, which was comforting as both my brother and I live some distance away. Several of the carers became like friends and even now, we still keep in touch with a couple.
On many occasions they went above and beyond - including when mum was discharged from hospital after a fall. The carer was so concerned that mum was not fit to be discharged that she arranged, at very short notice, for another carer to sleep on mum’s sofa overnight next to her, and organised a district nurse visit next morning.
I would have no hesitation in recommending PrimRose - they truly provide fantastic and person-centred care.

As our Dad became more frail and his mobility decreased he was adamant that he wanted to stay in his own home. PrimRose gave us peace of mind and allowed Dad to stay in his familiar surroundings. The same small team of carers visited on a rota, so he came to know them well and this helped his failing memory. Everyone was always warm and friendly, and were happy to take on regular housework tasks and make Dad's meals and drinks. They took time to chat with Dad about his family and his memories and we were always very happy with the support he was given. We felt that PrimRose and their staff really cared about Dad's welfare.

My mother managed to live alone in her home until the ripe old age of 101.
This would never have been possible without the wonderful support of the staff of Primrose.
For over 4 years their regular visits gave her the physical and emotional support that maintained her positive attitude for life.
Their visits were the highlight of her day whilst making sure she continued to eat well at all times.
As her eyesight failed the staff became a conduit to the outside world.
The carers became her friends especially her key worker who coordinated a consistent approach to my mother’s needs.
When we moved my mother to a care home Primrose staff were heavily involved in the decision making process.

PrimRose Home Help have been caring for my mother-in-law for a number of years, they have made it possible for her to stay in the comfort of her own home. The careers are warm and professional and there is a low turnover of staff. Handovers between staff are carefully documented. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I cannot praise PrimRose highly enough - they have supported my mother in law enabling her to retain her independence at home and, by doing so, have given the rest of the family immense support. If you need help at home, these are the people to call.

The care Primrose has given to my dementia sufferer mum has been exemplary. She is always treated with great care, professionalism, kindness and respect. Primrose not only support my mum so that she is able to continue to live independently but they are also supporting me her daughter through her dementia journey. Thank you all so much I could not do this without you.
